Winnipeg fights back in the latest Rank and File Radio – Prairies Edition with two separate grassroots campaigns to hold bosses and landlords accountable. First, Anna Sigrithur from the West Broadway Tenants Association addresses illegal Armour Property Management reno-victions – and an information session on November 14th to help provide support and action for affected tenants.
Then, former employees of the popular local chain Stella’s Cafe & Restaurant come forward with allegations of systemic and ongoing harassment and abuse from upper management. These employees created an Instagram account called #NotMyStellas on Thursday to collect and share anonymous stories from other past and present Stella’s workers. They have created a list of demands – including the immediate removal of two members of upper management.
