Weekend Video: Striking Crown workers demand government action

TorontoSteelworkersProtest_610pxA 21-month strike by United Steelworkers members against U.S.-based Crown Metal Packaging began in September 2013, when the global manufacturing giant demanded massive concessions from the employees of their beer packaging plant.

With the Ontario Legislature about to recess for the summer, prominent labour leaders and striking workers are demand action from Premier Kathleen Wynne and Labour Minister Kevin Flynn, calling for binding arbitration to resolve this prolonged labour dispute and bring security back to these workers and their struggling families.
