Since April 1, RankandFile.ca readers across the country have donated over $1700 to the project so far. Help us get there with individual contributions and through your union.
Why donate?
RankandFile.ca doesn’t just commit to providing informative news and analysis for workers, but it also aims to build solidarity for workers in struggle and the construction of rank-and-file networks.
RankandFile.ca is becoming a must-read website for labour activists. It reaches 12,000 individual readers a month. Our website has over 1,000 hits a day. Over 3,200 people follow us on social media and through email subscriptions.
RankandFile.ca is the only thing of its kind in Canada.
Where does the money go?
We have helped fund RF.ca editor Dave Bush in attending the Labor Notes conference in Chicago in early April 2014. We also helped RF.ca editor Sam Ponting make her way to the Canadian Labour Congress in early May. Out of both conferences, Sam and Dave published great interviews with workers as well as indispensable and original commentary and reporting.
We have also bought these great RF.ca buttons which were distributed at both Labor Notes and the CLC convention.
What can more funding help RF.ca do?
- Establish an Honorarium Fund that awards contributing writers
- Enable the production of print resources for distribution in workplaces and at public events
- Assist the Support Postal Workers campaign
- Buy and maintain digital recording equipment and design software
- Alleviate the costs associated with web hosting and graphic design for RankandFile.ca
