BORDERS WITHOUT BOUNDARIES
May 24-26, 2014
Brock University
St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada
CIRA 2014 is being hosted in conjunction with the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Our goal is to bring together scholars, students, policy-makers and labour relations practitioners from across the globe on issues of work, employment and employment relations.
The theme of Congress 2014 is Borders Without Boundaries. The theme offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of breaking down boundaries in our field due to the interdisciplinary nature of our theory and research, the increasing importance of knowledge transfer between scholars and practitioners, the pluralistic nature of industrial relations in recognizing the legitimate interests of all stakeholders to the employment relationship, and the impact that the employment relationship has across multiple levels, including individuals, organizations and broader society.
We encourage submissions that reflect the conference theme. However, we also welcome any individual papers or panel/symposium submissions on any other topic of interest within the broad and interdisciplinary field of work, employment and employment relations.
Paper proposals should be submitted in the form of an abstract (maximum 300 words). Please also include all the authors and their respective affiliations and email addresses.
Proposals can be submitted in either English or French and the deadline for submissions is January 15, 2014. Please send proposals to ciraacri.conference@gmail.com
