Interview: Jessica Burnie, new CLC rep for workers with disabilities

jessicabernieJessica Burnie from the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) was elected May 7th to represent workers with disabilities on the Canadian Labour Congress’ (CLC) Canadian Council. RankandFile.ca‘s Samantha Ponting spoke with Jessica about the broad challenges faced by injured workers and other workers with disabilities, including theĀ barriers facing people with disabilities at this year’s CLC Convention.

The Canadian Council is composed of ranking officers of CLC union affiliates, 10 women representatives from the CLC’s largest union affiliates, representatives from provincial and territorial federated labour bodies, and various vice-presidents elected from the CLC’s respective caucuses.
