On June 5, the Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) is hosting a meeting on migrant worker issues in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This full-day meeting will focus on migrant worker rights via skill-sharing and strategy development.
Participants will include migrant workers and migrant worker advocates from across Canada. The meeting will focus on labour rights, health and safety, access to permanent residency, strategies for engaging with government at the provincial and federal level, and more. A tentative agenda can be found here. The event is being sponsored by the Canadian Labour Congress.
An information session for migrant workers will take place on June 4th, organized by KAIROS and Migrante Canada.
