Building Student & Teacher Prairie Solidarity

4/29/2019

Today on Rank & File Radio, teachers and students fighting for quality, public education. We’ll hear from Megan Linton, from the Manitoba chapter of the Canadian Federation of Students, on creating a prairie solidarity network for students to connect, share knowledge and organizing skills.

And we’ll hear an excerpt of my interview with Eric Blanc, author of Red State Revolt: The Teacher’s Strike Wave and Working Class Politics. It’s a brand new book documenting the massive illegal teachers strikes in 2018 in West Virginia, Arizona, and Oklahoma. These illegal strikes saw massive gains for teachers and public sector workers.

Rank & File will host a book launch with Eric Blanc for Red State Revolt on May 29, 2019 in Toronto.
